Will you give me a quote first?

Yes, absolutely! After you contact us, our office staff will schedule an appointment for one of our roof and gutter technicians to visit your property. They will thoroughly inspect your roof and gutters and then provide you with a free, no-obligation, fixed-price quote. This written quote will be emailed directly to you along with digital photos. Do I need to be home when you attend?

If you’re able to be home, that’s ideal as we can provide your quote and answer any questions face-to-face. However, if you’re unavailable, we can still proceed with the appointment. We’ll call you from the site to discuss any questions and provide your quote verbally. Afterwards, we’ll send the written quote to you via email.

How much will it cost?

That depends on many factors – access, height, the pitch of the roof, size of the roof, quantity and type of accumulated debris, the presence of the gutter guard, etc and other factors. However, we do promise that there will be no hidden surprises – we will provide you with a free, no-obligation, fixed-price quote. Our written quotes are always emailed directly to you along with digital photos. To find out more about our quoting process, click here. How quick can you do the job after quoting?

If you approve the quote at the time of the visit, we can often start the job immediately, especially for domestic properties. If immediate work isn’t possible or you want to think about the quote, we can usually schedule the job within one week of your quote acceptance.

How will you clean my gutters?

Our main method involves accessing your roof via a ladder and removing the debris using a high-pressure blower (debris is cleaned up at ground level once this is done). However, if the debris in your gutters is wet, we will clear it out by hand to prevent any mess or damage to your property. In some instances, we will use a hose to remove stubborn blockages in your downpipes. Please note that if you have an asbestos roof or gutters, we take the needed precautions to keep everyone safe, click here to find out more.

Will you clean up my garden and yard at the end?

Yes – we will ensure that all of your gardens, paths, driveways and lawns are left as clean as we found them or cleaner. We will remove any accumulated debris from the site and will dispose of it accordingly.

How do you stay safe while working at height?

Working at heights is extremely dangerous. At Western Sydney Gutter Cleaning, height safety is our number one priority.  All of our roof and gutter technicians have been thoroughly trained and certified to work safely at height including the use of harnesses and associated fall arrest equipment, temporary and permanent anchor points and height self-rescue. Our quotations include all necessary precautions to prevent any personnel or equipment from falling, ensuring the safety of everyone on-site, including pedestrians in the area below.

Can you supply and install anchor points?

Yes – over the past 25 years, we have installed more than 50,000 anchor points on over 5,000 roofs in Sydney and regional NSW. We supply and install anchor points for tiled and metal roofs, first-man-up cables, ladder brackets, roof access hatches and complete Safe Roof Access Systems. We also inspect, assess and re-certify all of these items and can provide documented quantity lists, plans and certificates of installation compliance. To find out more click here.

My roof already has anchor points – can you re-certify and use them?

Yes – we can identify, quantify, assess, tag and re-certify any existing height safety hardware items on your roof. If any items are found to be non-compliant or defective, we will provide a defect list and either provide a quotation to rectify or provide a referral for this work to be done. We are happy to use any anchor point or height safety hardware item that has been deemed compliant and has been certified. To find out more click here.

My roof is very high – how will you access it?

We will access the majority of roofs via our commercial-grade ladders.  However, if the lowest accessibility point of your roof is greater than 9 metres (greater than 3 storeys), we can provide you with a quote for a Safe Roof Access System with a Roof Access Hatch. To get a quote, please click here to contact us.

My roof is old and fragile – can you clean the gutters without damaging it?

Yes – if necessary, we can access and clean the gutters working solely from the ladder however, this can only be done if there are no gardens, fences or other structures that will impede the setting up of the ladder around the entire roof perimeter. This access and cleaning method is also much slower and costs more. In most cases, our experienced and highly skilled roof and gutter technicians will be able to access and clean your gutters from the roof without causing any damage to it even if it is constructed from terracotta tile.

My gutters have gutter guard – how will you clean them?

Gutter guard is very common in Western Sydney. However, it does not always keep the debris that collects on your roof out of your gutter and down pipe system. After a few years, your gutters will more than likely contain a layer of broken-down debris – ie fine silt and mud – that will eventually impede the flow of water into your stormwater system. This will eventually create water ingress issues.

The quote that we provide you with always includes as standard the careful inspection of every inch of gutter underneath any existing gutter guard. If debris has penetrated the gutter guard and started to accumulate underneath, we will uninstall the gutter guard, remove the debris and re-install it. We will provide you with digital photos that detail each of these important steps.

Please note that some gutter guard systems are impossible to re-install after removal – due to either the material they are constructed from or if they have been inserted into the gutters before the roof is installed. In these cases, our quotation may include the removal and disposal of the gutter guard to facilitate the removal of accumulated debris underneath.

Can you supply and install gutter guard?

No – we do not provide this service as we have found that in most cases, the installation of gutter guard is not the most cost-effective solution. It is expensive to supply and install and then expensive to remove and refit. In our experience, the most cost-effective solution is regular gutter cleaning. Can you perform minor roof repairs?

While on your roof, we will always be looking for any roof defects that are apparent while we clean your gutters. If it is something as simple as a cracked tile or cracked roof flashing, we can repair these effectively using industrial-grade roofing silicone or even replacing your cracked tiles if you have a stock of them on site. If it is something that is beyond our scope of work, we will take digital photos, bring it to your attention and recommend a reputable roofing contractor who will be able to address these issues. The advantage of using Western Sydney Gutter Cleaning is that we will be a set of eyes on your roof – alerting you to potential roofing defects before they start to cause you problems. My property is very small or very large – can you still provide me with a quote?

Yes – no property is too small or too big for our team of roof and gutter technicians.

Will you remind me when my gutters need cleaning again?
